Dual citizen Danielle Bourgon is an award-winning artist in acting, writing and micro-short filmmaking. Born in San Francisco, California to Canadian parents, her family moved often and Danielle grew up in various cities across Eastern United States and Central Canada.
As an actor, Danielle's credits include Canadian and American indie and big-budget features, shorts and television with notable performances in George F. Walker & Dani Romain's CBC's award-winning courtroom drama THIS IS WONDERLAND; Cannes New Director's Showcase's Tim Hamilton's "Truth In Advertising" follow-up viral short THE REEL TRUTH; TVO's critically acclaimed medical drama television series HARD ROCK MEDICAL; and most recently the NSFW series making its way through the festival circuit with numerous nominations and awards: PERVERTS ANONYMOUS.
Danielle has also been in more than 50 television commercials across North America and abroad.
ME & BOO, Danielle's comedy feature screenplay won CROWD PLEASER / AUDIENCE CHOICE SCREENPLAY AWARD at the Female Eye Film Festival. ME & BOO is currently in development with Quiet Revolution Pictures.
A recent recipient of ACTRA's Paul Siren Scholarship Award, Danielle went on to write, direct, produce, shoot and edit her first series of micro-short films: MIND SPINS (experimental) was honoured with Ryerson's CANVAS MAGAZINE AWARD; and TAKE ME HOME (fantasy comedy) was an Official Selection in FeFF's International Short Film Program.
In addition to her work, Danielle volunteers for animals and humans. She lives with her Canadian shelter cat and her Dominican rescue dog in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
